Lindisfarne House, Windermere

Welcome to the beautiful English lake District and Lindisfarne House, an attractive, traditional detached Lakeland stone house built in 1881. Situated in a quiet area within easy walking distance of Windermere village centre, Bowness and Lake Windermere. A short car ride takes you to the neighbouring villages of Ambleside and Grasmere which are set in the heart of "Wordsworth" country, or across the lake by ferry brings you to Sawrey, the home of Beatrix Potter, whose house "Hill Top" is now owned by the National Trust and open to the public. Our accommodation has a unique homely feel designed for relaxation and maximum comfort, the bedrooms have been thoughtfully decorated, each offering a high degree of comfort and relaxation. We have four letting rooms, 3 of which are ensuite, and 1 with own private shower room. For that special occasion we have a deluxe Super-king room. Each room is equipped with colour televisions, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities.
