Keswick B&B

Keswick has a number of hotels and inns offering accommodation as well as many guesthouses and B&Bs (bed and breakfast accommodation). It is situated north of Derwent Water, and a short distance from Bassenthwaite Lake, within in the Lake District National Park. The town is linked by road to Workington and Penrith, as well as Windermere, Kendal and Carlisle. During the 16th century, small scale mining took place in Keswick which led to the world's first graphite pencils. The pencil industry continued until 2008 when the company moved west to Workington on the coast.
