Windermere Hotels

Windermere is a very popular and well known small tourist town with many Windermere Hotels, is a convenient base from which to explore the central Lakes area. It is easily accessed from the M6 and Kendal, approximately 9 miles distant. The town centre is inland and contains the areas railway station but the built area has linked up with that of Bowness-on-Windermere, an earlier settlement on the eastern lakeshore of Windermere the lake. The Windermere and Bowness area can boast some of the finest eating places in the Lake District.
