Wigton B&B

Wigton is a small market town situated on the Solway Plain between the Caldbeck Fells and the Solway coast. It has a railway station on the Cumbrian Coast Line. The A596 road leads to Workington and (via the A595 road) to Carlisle. The town of Wigton is an ancient settlement on a pre-medieval street plan, although its architectural style is chiefly Georgian. The main employer is Innovia Films with a factory in the centre of the town. The company's products include plastic labels, cellophane, substrates for bank notes and UV resistant films. Bed and breakfast (b&b) accommodation is available in the town and nearby. Hotel accommodation can be found within a few miles.
