Kirkby Stephen B&B

Kirkby Stephen is a small market town in eastern Cumbria which, historically, was part of Westmorland. Appleby-in-Westmorland is 12 miles (19 km) to the north west). Situated in thinly populated hill country, the River Eden rises 6 miles (10 km) from the town and passes its eastern edge. It is known as a centre for walkers of the Pennines, the Lake District and the Coast to Coast walk as well as cyclists on the Cumbria Cycle Way. A good range of bed and breakfasts and guesthouses is available. Each May there is a walking and countryside festival including graded and guided walks.
