Description
Tweedies barVoted Pub Of The Season 2007.
With a range of regular guest beers, Tweedies Bar has featured over 202 different varieties of beer from 69 Breweries countrywide. From the local Timothy Taylor to the seasonal Santas Sledgehammer. From Shetland to Cornwall, Tweedies Bar has gained the reputation that has earned them this great honour.
The stone flagged floor and wood burning stove remind you that this is a country pub, but it is also so much more than this. With an extensive menu and a carefully selected wine list, plus the ever-changing wines of the month, there is something for even the most refined of palates.
There are also five guest ale pumps; regulars include The Timothy Taylor award winning range of beers. We are very keen to promote the popular range of local beers on offer to us with such favourites as the Camra award winning Coniston Bluebird Bitter. Yates Brewery is also represented as is The Tirril Brewery and many more.
Also on offer are two ever-changing award winning guest beers. Our range is very broad including beers such as Titanic Stout from the titanic brewery in Staffordshire. To lighter hoppy beers such as Golden Pippin from the Copper Dragon Brewery and the award winning Yorkshire Terrier to name but just a few.
Traditional English cider is always available from the Weston's range also locally sourced cider from Cockrobin. Tweedies bar is now featured in the Camra good beer guide for its excellent range of beers.
