Beckermet Cottages

Beckermet is a small village just off the main road (A595) along the west coast of Cumbria between Egremont and Seascale. The name means the meeting of the becks or streams. The Lake District fells are to the east and the Irish Sea coast to the west. The area was settled by Norman times but there are also Neolithic remains nearby. There seem to be just two self catering cottages listed in Beckermet so for any choice of accommodation it would be advisable to include the nearby towns in any search.
