Beckermet B&B

Beckermet is a quiet Cumbrian village, between the Lake District fells and the Irish Sea. It makes an ideal base from which to explore. Beckermet is near the coast between the towns of Egremont and Seascale. An unstaffed request railway halt can be found at Braystones while less than a mile east of the town is the A595 road. Beckermet is around 2 miles (3 km) from the Sellafield nuclear plant, which can be seen from parts of the village. There is a country house hotel in Beckermet that has a pub and restaurant. Two more hotels are situated about one and a half miles (2km) away at Calder Bridge, Cleator Moor. The nearest bed and breakfast (b&b) houses are at St Bees to the north and Seascale to the south.
