Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel

The Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel is to be found in magnificent setting at the head of the Great Langdale Valley in the heart of the Lake District.

For 300 years the Old Hotel has offered a home to fellwalkers and climbers. Most guests call in at the Hiker's Bar first, where a selection of real ales provides a just reward after a long drive or a hard day of fell and rock.

We have fourteen bedrooms, some having en-suite shower facilities, while an abundance of hot water supplies our bathrooms for a well earned soak.

There is a spacious and comfortable residents' lounge with an open fire, a quiet residents' bar, excellent wine cellar and dining room, together with drying room.
