HACKET FORGE
Lake District Self Catering Cottages
Dating from 1608, Hacket Forge stands on the banks of the River Brathay, in the beautiful Little Langdale valley a picturesque part of the English Lake District. It was originally a forge, and the Wordsworths were familiar with it, as was Beatrix Potter who bought land on the other side of the river. For many years the present owners have welcomed self-catering visitors, who enjoy the peaceful setting in which Hacket Forge looks down on the river's rush to Colwith Force.
